Posting ini berawal dari email yang dikirimkan oleh tim PC Media yang memberitakan bahwa PCMAV 2.0 telah tiba, dan telah siap untuk diuji coba 

Anda merupakan pembaca PC Media yang terpilih dan mendapat kehormatan

PC Media Valkyrie Alpha1

PC Media Valkyrie Alpha1 merupakan sebuah prototype untuk versi generasi

berikutnya dari PCMAV, yang saat ini sedang dikembangkan secara intensif

oleh tim antivirus PC Media. Valkyrie Alpha1 ini tersedia hanya untuk

kepentingan uji coba semata dan diberikan terbatas kepada pembaca PC Media

yang terpilih untuk mengujicobanya.

Rilis ini tidak menggambarkan hasil akhir PCMAV. Beberapa fitur yang ada

sedang dalam uji coba tahap awal dan tidak menutup kemungkinan akan berubah

sebelum rilis final diluncurkan. Fitur tersebut sangat memungkinkan belum

berjalan secara sempurna dan bisa saja terdapat bug yang menyebabkan sistem

tidak berjalan normal.

Kecuali Anda seorang advanced user dalam berkomputer, mohon dihindari

penggunaan PC Media Valkyrie Alpha1 di sistem yang biasa digunakan untuk

bekerja sehari-hari.

Apa yang baru di PC Media Valkyrie Alpha1?

menyenangkan, simpel, intuitif, dan informatif.

* Automatic Updates: Bila di seri 1.x update database virus terbaru

dilakukan secara manual, maka kini dapat dilakukan secara otomatis

penuh, baik update database virus untuk PCMAV maupun ClamAV (main.cvd

& daily.cvd).

* Database virus update PCMAV (.VDB) kini diletakkan di folder \vdb\

* Engine tambahan ClamAV (0.9x) kini diletakkan di folder \plugins\ClamAV\
